PeelPioneers’ pioneering technology offers a 100% circular solution. Sytze van Stempvoort, co-founder of PeelPioneers: “With the growing demand for freshly squeezed orange juice, the number of peels is also growing. We make food products out of food products, where we retain the entire incoming (peel) flow in the food chain.” The company was founded in 2017 by Lindy Hensen, Bas van Wieringen and Sytze van Stempvoort and opened the European biggest peel factory in 2021, where more than 30 million kilos of peels are processed per year.
