Tasks & Responsibilities
We start the morning with a cup of coffee or tea and then discuss the week/day with the foreman who is on duty at that time. Then we start up the machines together. While the machines are warming up, the first truck arrives with 70 containers full of orange peels. Because safety is of great importance and everyone has to keep their attention, there is a rotation every hour. Variety is just as nice.
Lunch time! Between 12:00 and 1:00 pm, a hot soup and fresh orange juice will be waiting for you in our lunch room. Here you can warm up, chat with other colleagues or withdraw yourself. We try to have lunch together (that’s just as cozy as alone).
In particular, you produce the products essential oils, orange cubes and animal feed. You are responsible for the storage and labeling of these products. In addition, you signal when container(s) with raw materials and/or end products must be exchanged.
You, of course, keep the workplace clean and comply with the work and safety instructions when performing the work. Together with your colleagues, you are ultimately responsible for the cleaning of, among other things, the process installation and the production location. We work under the standard hygiene and safety.

Starting salary from €2.000 gross per month, depending on experience, knowledge, and qualifications.

About PeelPioneers
We are the sustainable peel farmer of the 21st century. Instead of being incinerated into waste, we give orange peels a second life: we extract raw materials from the peel that we process into food ingredients. Our new factory in ‘s-Hertogenbosch has a production capacity of 50,000 kg of peels per day. And we are proud of that.
